ABOUT ABOUT

Forest bathing is viewed as a restorative wellness practice. Japanese studies on the wellness benefits of shinrin-yoku (forest bathing) have provided actual data that documents wellness benefits. We will be walking slowly. We will be stopping for periods of time in order to explore, interact, and connect with the environment through our senses. The duration of the walk will last about 2.5 - 3 hours. Remember we will not be walking the entire time. There will be several stops along the trail for exploring nature.

Participants should bring: personal drinking water and a light snack, UV-safe sunglasses, sunscreen to apply on any skin that is exposed to the light, lip balm to protect your lips, and a hat.

Participants should dress in layers: plan on adding and removing layers as needed. Don’t let yourself get too cold or too hot. Outdoor activities are safer and more enjoyable when you are comfortable. Don’t forget your socks and sturdy footwear.
