ABOUT ABOUT

Join Astronomical Society of Harrisburg President, Eric Roth and other ASH members for an evening of star gazing at Detweiler Park. The evening will begin with a short 0.75 mile walk along variable terrain to the open fields of the Airstrip Loop. With the help of scopes, binoculars and sky maps, participants will be able to observe popular fall constellations such as Pegasus, Andromeda, Lyra, Cygnus, Aquila and Cassiopeia to name a few. We may even be able to see Saturn and Jupiter as well as the Andromeda Galaxy. Dress for the weather, bring a flashlight and something to sit on. If the weather prevents the program from happening on Friday, October 28 the alternative date is Friday, November 4, 2022. Pre-registration required.
